an Independent Program of Tower Hill Botanic Garden
Trees have long served as symbols of life and vitality. Many people plant trees to memorialize a person after their death, to celebrate a birth, or to honor a person who has accomplished great things for their community. Memorial trees are living monuments to people erected by those whom they touched with their life. Such trees serve as enduring testaments of the love their families and friends have for them. It is fitting then that a life, which has brought so much love and joy to others and which has inspired generosity, would be commemorated with a tree. Trees bring joy and peace, and give generously to the community around them with their lives as well. As they grow and stand proudly for generations they remind others of the great lives which inspired their planting.
Plant a Memorial Tree
If you would like to plant a tree as a tribute to a loved one Worcester Tree Initiative would be happy to work alongside you through our Memorial Tree Planting Program. We will help you choose a beautiful tree and find an appropriate location at your house or at one of our partnering locations where you can visit the tree. We will also plant the tree for you and provide a plaque with a custom inscription honoring your loved one. We plant many kinds of trees and each is about 6 feet tall at the time of planting.
Donations for Your Memorial Tree
Planting a memorial tree requires a $500 donation to Worcester Tree Initiative. This donation can be made through an individual contribution or a group of people contributing to the same tree. These contributions can be made through our online giving tool after you have begun the coordination process for planting a memorial tree with Worcester Tree Initiative.
